Imagine an Afghanistan where men and women work together on equal footing to bring about the eradication of malnutrition.

We’re working to make that dream a reality. NEI firmly believes that when you educate a woman, you feed a village. That’s why we’re working with local Afghan women to develop, educate, and empower whole communities to push back against malnutrition, infant mortality, and gender inequality.

As part of this program, NEI has begun working with MoWA to train Afghan widows to use soy nutrition and soy products to provide a source of personal income. As these women regain their personal empowerment, they leverage their vast networks to improve overall community health.
